CHAPTER III: SOL OMNIBUS LUCET
Sol omnibus lucet
The Sun shines for everyone.
Everyone has the right to a ray of sunshine.
In this time of selfishness, greed, particularism, this Latin phrase puts everyone on the same level: under the sun, illuminated with light, life, joy.
The sun is there for those who are rich and those who are poor, for those who are happy but also for those who are sad: just raise your eyes upwards instead of always keeping them low on the Earth, on our small and big problems.
This collection is tinged with sunshine: vivid colours, yellow and golden thread, bright greens like young and just opened leaves.
And a touch of lilac that gives a pinch of magic and femininity to everything.
The materials are all natural: high quality pear green viscose, striped silk shantung, a cotton with a splendid woven pattern also gold and silver.
I experimented with tops and really enjoyed building beach and vacation pieces, inspired by old Hollywood vacation spots. I also mixed the boho style and the fifties and the result was a mixture between the refined and the exotic.
For a summer under the sign of the Sun.
