CHAPTER I: THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS
“If only I had a child as white as snow, lips as red as blood, hair as black as a raven’s wings, and all with the strength of that rose.”
The still, blue lake becomes a mirror, and with a dive into it, like Alice, you can enter another world.
Here comes a theme to which Mevrian imagery has been linked since its conception: that of literature and, above all, fairy tales.
On the other side of the mirror Alice finds the Red Queen and the White Queen.
But in the same way a magical mirror is also linked to the figure of Snow White, with her hair as black as ebony, her skin as white as snow and her mouth as red as blood.
And here are the colors of this collection: white, red, black.
Alice’s White Queen and the snow purity from the Snow White fairytale intertwine in a sweater with an elegant and regal line, enriched with golden lurex.
The Red Queen and the contrast between red and black create more voluptuous and decorative silhouettes: a top in precious shiny macramé lace in the shape of large flowers; a rigid gobeline skirt studded with roses; a column skirt in ebony-coloured pleated satin.
